For more than a decade, I've been making baroque and classical oboes. My many contacts with professional colleagues - musicians as well as instrument makers - plus my study of instruments in museums and private collections have given me the experience and precise knowledge needed to assess a professional instrument's capabilities and the demands that will be made on it. My experience shows that the right combination of staple and reed is of the utmost importance for a reliable response and a good sound.
As a musician, I know how unsatisfying it is to have a new instrument, but no one to turn to with questions about reeds, response, and fingerings. That's why I place such importance on personal contact with my customers. I see it as part of my job to pass on my experience and knowledge and to help you with all your questions and problems.
